[Grant Burge]

The story of Grant Burge Wines is one of the past, the present, and the future. Planting their roots in the Barossa Valley, the Burge’s began as a family of devoted vignerons. For five generations, they spent their days toiling the lands, understanding the soil, and from it growing grapes that would become the most luxurious of wines. After years of working on the family’s vineyard, Meshach Burge, the eldest son, decided it was time to branch out and away from viticulture and into the world of agriculture.

While he and a family of his own worked their lands not far from the original Burge homestead, growing crops and cattle, he couldn’t shake his innate love of wine and winemaking. Many say this was the reason he built fermenting tanks in one of his sheds in 1865. But when Meshach installed these tanks, he didn’t intend on sparking a world-famous wine empire. He just wanted to share wine with his favourite people; his friends and his family.

Out of his generosity came what is today the Grant Burge brand. Built on this foundation of devotion and sharing, what drives the brand to consistently over-deliver is this ethos of always wanting to give more than expected. That is why each wine at every tier continuously exceeds expectations. As a brand, they make generous wines to inspire generosity in others; to encourage them to share in the giving moment of Grant Burge Wines.

Stemming from this abundance mindset is their openness in their approach to the future. By staying true to their heritage but remaining unbound by existing norms, they relentlessly pursue avenues of evolution. They use their intrinsic knowledge of the land and winemaking to produce a progressive and varied portfolio of wines that encourages people to explore and share in the generosity that is Grant Burge Wines.
